The Rural Writers Project is a nonprofit organization that supports writers in rural communities across the United States. The Rural Writers Project seeks to encourage and foster a community of writers otherwise isolated due to geographical location, lack of local resources and infrastructure, or financial constraints. We provide children, teens, and adults with physical resources, online resources, and educational programming on creative writing. Our mission is to raise and support the voices of writers in rural communities. Rural writers, we are a demographic that often goes forgotten, and the world needs to hear our stories.
